Leadership

I’m a servant leader with 15+ years in leadership roles. In that time I have built creative teams with as many as 25 people in all creative disciplines, developed the talent on the team, managed workload, led change initiatives all while building and fostering a positive culture.

Brand

As a brand champion I have developed, refreshed, implemented and maintained brands as well as educating people on the importance of brand integrity and consistency. Whether its’s working hand in hand with an agency partner to implement and maintain the brand tools they provided or rebranding or refreshing a brand with an internal team(s), I can lead a successful effort and ensure brand consistency and integrity, while using the tool created to keep the creative being developed fresh.

Design & Copy

I am a designer by trade, and have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. On my journey I have been a designer in an agency setting, for a printer and for an in-house creative team. The first 20 years of my career I was hands on developing creative for direct mail, catalogs, ads, signage, etc., as I transitioned into a leadership role where I became responsible for leading the development of creative. 

And while I do not have any formal training and a copywriter, over the years I have contributed to the development of copy for jobs that I have worked on. And through the mentorship of past creative directors I have gained a strong understanding of what makes good copy and ensuring that it works hand in hand with design to develop successful creative.

Vendor Relations

Since I started as a designer I have been responsible for building and maintaining relationships with vendors. Whether they are printers, production houses, staffing agencies or technology vendors I not only ensure that the product or services that we receive are quality and at a fair price, but keep lasting positive relationships where the vendors become an extension of our team and provide a positive experience each and every time because of it.
